Why art thou cast down? oh my soul ?
Psalm 42 vs 5 "Why art thou cast down , Oh my soul? and why art thou disquited in me?Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his conternence So says the Psalmist...Have we asked the same question at times? what is our answer? why so down?well we could write a mental list of our problems I suppose, and say "there we are God that's why I am down". So cast down! He goes on not only is he down but worrying, why art thou so disquited within me, oh within me is so much going on, in my mind heart and soul, so many worries and burdens they disturb my inner peace, they brake my harmony in the very heart of my breast. Its not quite there within but noisy, wars are within me!. But why?
Then he remembers he's a child of God, and the why question now becomes the answer, why am I like this, so silly, I am a child of my loving Heavenly Father, why cast down He loves me and cares for me. Why am I like this? He promised to bring peace to my soul, He brings it,I will think of past blessings and ,hope in the God of all Hope. Hope thou in God,reason? for I shall yet praise Him.There is the answer days of praise will returrn soon,and the help of His conternance ,I will see Him afresh in prayer from the word in a sermon in my very heart and soul. I will be helped..And I will yet praise Him.For He is God and a fresh view of Him brings my soul out of the pit.Seek Jesus and when we find him anew we will be lifted.
