Noah's name means safety, rest. This is pointing to Christ in whom we would find rest in the Cross -through His death. Noah made a Ark for salvation from wrath of God, as he was told to.The floods came and they who had faith were safe in the Ark.Today all those who repent and have faith in Christ ,dying for them on the cross, are safe from the wrath of God .But oh those who reject Him will be found in hell for ever, when Jesus returns to judge the world by fire .Laugh would you? They did at Noah ,who's laughing now? If we die first ,we will not escape ,but meet God and only have one of two destinations heaven or hell.
Look now, God sends the rainbow.....in the clouds of your sin...its Christ shining: in all the storms of life low to him, trust him now ,God sends hope in the dark clouds of life .
Genisis chapter 12 - the Lord states that "I will put a bow in the skies". When the rain clouds come, see it Christ beauty it points to Him! Safe form the storm of Gods wrath, what love this is!
