Call to Worship
My Shepherd will supply my need
Jehovah is His name
In Pastures fresh He makes me feed
Beside the living stream. (Repeat)
He brings my wand'ring spirit back
When I forsake His ways
And leads me for His mercy's sake
In paths of truth and grace. (Repeat)
When I walk through the shades of death
Thy presence is my stay
A word of Thy supporting breath
Drives all my fears away. (Repeat)
The sure provisions of my Lord
Attend me all my days
His heav'nly house is my abode
And all my work His praise! (Repeat)
(Tune: "Majestic Sweetness")

GOSPEL OR A BOWL OF BEANS?
Paul Mahan
Hebrews 12:16 "(Esau) for one morsel of meat sold his birthright."
How foolish could a man be? . . . How bound to his belly and appetite, that he would sell his soul for beans?
Yet this is exactly what most still do today. What will a man give in exchange for his soul? I'll tell you: He'll take a 6 pack of Bud Light, a 10 point buck, a 5 pound bass, a NASCAR race, a ball game, or just about anything. "Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things"
(Philippians 3:19).
"Sanctified by God the Father." (Jude 1:1)
"Sanctified in Christ Jesus." (I Corinthians 1:2)
"Through sanctification of the Spirit." (1 Peter 1:2)
Mark, Beloved, the union of the Three Divine Persons in all their gracious acts. We believe that there is one God, and although we rejoice to recognize the Trinity, yet it is ever most distinctly a Trinity in Unity. Our watch-word still is-"Hear O Israel, the LORD our God is one LORD." How unwisely do those young Believers talk, who make preferences in the Persons of the Trinity-who think of Christ as if He were the embodiment of everything that is lovely and gracious, while the Father they regard as severely just but destitute of kindness. And how foolish are those who magnify the decree of the Father, or the atonement of the Son, so as to depreciate the work of the Spirit. In deeds of Divine Grace none of the Persons of the Trinity act apart from the rest. They are as united in their deeds as in their essence. In their love towards the chosen they are One, and in the actions which flow from that great central source they are still undivided. ~ A.W.Pink

CHRIST: A LIVING REALITY
John 14:19 "Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also."
Jesus Christ is not someone who lived, but one who lives and is seated at God's right hand, where angels and authorities and powers are made subject unto him. (1 Peter 3:22) The gospel is not just a story to be believed, but a living person to receive, love and worship. Jesus Christ is the life and hope of every blood-bought son of God. (I Timothy 1:1)

THE ACID TEST
Isaiah 8:20 "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them."
There is a test in business called the "acid test." It is used to check the soundness of one's business. The acid test to check the soundness of one's message is the scriptures. Just as numbers do not lie in business, the scriptures that God has given to us do not lie. Search the scriptures to see if the message is true.
