Call To Worship
Glory be to God the Father
Glory to the blessed Son
Sound aloud the Spirit's praises
Hail the glorious Three in One.
Glory, honor, praise, and power
To the Lamb be ever paid
Let new blessings ev'ry hour
Rest on His exalted head.
May the grace of Christ our Saviour
And the Father's boundless love
With the Holy Spirit's favor
Be upon us from above.
Thus may we abide in union
With each other in the Lord
And possess, in sweet communion
Joy's which earth cannot afford.
(Tune: "Jesus Calls Us")

HIS PRESENCE
A lady was commenting on a sermon that she heard. She said, "I was there when he preached that sermon and was greatly blessed." She continued to speak of the blessings that she received from the sermon. There is a special blessing on God's people when they meet together to worship the Lord, read His word, sing His praises and hear His gospel preached. That special blessing is his presence.
Matthew 18:20 "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." I am sure that if we were to put an ad in the paper that reads, "Jesus Christ of Nazareth will be at Hurricane Road Grace Church Sunday morning." Many would come out, if for no other reason than curiosity. The truth is, He is here in Spirit...which is just as real as if he were here in the flesh. Let us not say as Jacob said in Genesis 28:16 "...surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not." We have His word on it; that where two or three are gathered together, he will be in the midst. Remember, it is not the service we are missing; it is Him we are missing.
PROMISES
Genesis 28:15 "And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of."
"I am with thee..." One of the names of Christ is, "Immanuel," which means, God with us. It could have just as easily been written, God against us.
"...and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest..." We are a kept people. We are kept by the power of God through faith in Christ.
..."I will bring thee again into this land..." Christ said that He would lose nothing, that all whom the Father gave to Him will be brought safely home. Christ will bring all His Jacobs to the promise land.
"for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of." All the promises of God in Christ are yea and amen. He will bring us to glory; we have His word on it.

There is nothing substantial in the notion that free grace is opposed to morality: it is only a fancy. They dream that the doctrine of justification by faith will lead to sin, but it can be proved by history that whenever this doctrine has been best preached men have become most holy, and whenever this truth had been darkened, all manner of corruption has abounded. Gracious doctrine and gracious living fitly go together, and legal teaching and unlawful living are generally found associated. ~ Pastor Joe Terrell
