Call To Worship
From all who dwell below the skies
Let our Creator's praise arise
Let the Redeemer's name be sung
Through every land, by every tongue.
Eternal are Thy mercies, Lord
Eternal truth attends Thy word
Thy praise shall sound from shore to shore
‘Til suns shall rise and set no more.
O render thanks to God above
The fountain of eternal love
Whose mercies firm through ages past
Have stood, and shall forever last.
Extend to me that favor, Lord
Thou to Thy chosen doth afford
When you return to set them free
Let Thy salvation visit me!
(Tune: "Doxology")

__ _____ _____ _____ _____ _____ _____ _____ ___FU LFILL ING YOUR MINISTRY
Paul said to Archippus, "Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfill it." (Col. 4:17)
Evidently, Archippus was becoming lax or remiss in the ministry, or area of service that the Lord had entrusted him with. We do not know what that ministry was, but Archippus was in danger of not fulfilling it. So Paul warns him about it. We have all been given some aspect of ministry for the body of Christ. This is spoken of at great length in Romans 12. What a shame it is when somebody does not fulfill their ministry! They hurt themselves and they miss out on being a blessing to others. I do not want this to happen to me or you. "Take heed to the ministry which thou has received in the Lord, that thou fulfill it." Does someone say, "I do not know what my ministry is?" Read Romans 12 and you will find something that you are gifted to do. "Take heed that you fulfill it." -- Pastor Todd Nibert
We see so little true commitment, so much indifference, and so few dedicated people in today's religious world that we may be prone to accept this attitude as normal. But it is not so! David wrote in Psalm 147:18, "He sendeth out His word and MELTETH THEM." Paul wrote in Romans 8:6, "To be carnally minded is death; but to be SPIRITUALLY MINDED is life and peace." If God is pleased to move in love and grace upon a person, the very life of Christ is formed in him and UNBELIEF is driven out by God-given-faith. INDIFFERENCE departs at the revelation of God's glory in the face of Christ. IGNORANCE vanishes as Christ is revealed in His work of redemption as Just and Justifier. SELF-PRIDE disappears before His grace and mercy. SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS has not the slightest claim in the light of His perfect obedience. SELF-LOVE takes an awful beating in the light of His love for us. No! It would be IMPOSSIBLE for a true child of His great, invincible grace to be indifferent or uncommitted after the melting of His word and the revelation of His love.

THE IMPORTANCE OF KNOWING CHRIST
Philippians 3:1-11
I know that there are some things that are important to us; there are some people that are important to us. However, in light of our great need of Christ nothing else is that important. We need his blood for cleansing, his righteousness for acceptance, his intercession for forgiveness; the list goes on. We need Him. As the woman with the issue of blood said, "If I can but touch the hem of his garment, I shall be made whole." Without Him we are lost, undone, and unaccepted by the Father. There is no material thing or human relationship that can supply my spiritual need; however, in Christ we are complete. In Christ we have all that we need to stand in God's presence accepted. I cannot express how important it is to know Christ; all material things will burn up, and all fleshly relationships will be dissolved. However, our relationship with Christ will never be dissolved nor diminished, and it will only grow sweeter. Judge the importance of everything in light of Him.
