Call to Worship
Through all the changing scenes of life,
In trouble or in joy,
The praises of my God shall still
My heart and tongue employ. (Repeat)
O magnify the Lord with me,
With me exalt His name;
When in distress to Him we called,
And to our aide He came. (Repeat)
The hosts of God encamp around
The dwellings of the just;
Deliverance He affords to all
Who on His mercies trust. (Repeat)
Fear Him, my sons, and you will then
HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO FEAR;
If Christ, the Son, is your delight,
Your soul is in His care. (Repeat)
(Tune: "Majestic Sweetness")
Mark 7:37- 36 "And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it; And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak."

UNSEARCHABLE RICHES
Pastor John Chapman
Isaiah 55:1 "Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price."
The richest monarch in the world would soon go broke if every poor and heavy laden person came to him for relief. However, there is one Monarch who is infinitely rich; whose storehouse of mercy never runs dry, whose power to save is never diminished by the multitude. Jesus Christ is this Monarch: all are His. He is rich in wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption. All that we need for time and eternity are His to give. Therefore, take your burden to the Lord and leave it there. Matthew 11: 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Ephesians 3:8)
UNPROFITABLE SERVANTS
Luke 17:10 "So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do."
All men value their services too highly, which is why all men believe that they can merit salvation. It takes the power of God working in a sinner's heart to make him see that all his righteousnesses are nothing but filthy rags in God's sight. (Isaiah 64:6) Not until a sinner tastes of the grace of God in Christ will he see that after all that he has done or can do, he is still an unprofitable servant.
THAT EVIL MAN CALLED SELF
Pastor Paul Mahan
Self is an evil man. He is very selfish, thinking of no one but himself. He loves himself while hating others. He loves to talk about himself and no one else. He is self-righteous; he thinks he is right and everyone else is wrong. He is very touchy and easily offended. He is defensive and offensive. He is mean, vindictive, vengeful, cynical, hypocritical and proud. If we spend all our time with Mr. Self we won't have a friend. If we give our time and money to him, he will take it all and leave us poor and miserable. If we follow him, he will lead us into trouble. We've got to get away from that fellow Self. We have to deny him.
When he poor-mouths, rebuke him. When he cries and complains, don't pity him. When he comes calling, don't answer. Avoid him, shun him, get away from him. If we don't get away from him we will be stuck with him. If we don't deny him, he will ruin us.
Saving faith is not based upon one's feelings but upon God's faithfulness. It is able to embrace and rejoice in the promises of God. It needs no evidence or proof, only a word from the living God; being "fully persuaded that what God has promised, He is able also to perform" (Romans 4:21); and realizing that the only difference between God's faithful promise and its perfect fulfillment is just a bit of time....His appointed time! ~ Pastor Maurice Montgomery
