Dear Lord, to us assembled here,
Reveal Thy glorious face,
While we, by faith, with love and fear
Approach Thy THRONE OF GRACE.
Thy house is called the house of prayer,
A solemn, sacred place;
O let us now Thy presence share
While at Thy THRONE OF GRACE.
With holy boldness may we come,
Though of a sinful race,
Thankful to find in Christ there’s room
Before Thy THRONE OF GRACE.
We bless Thee for Thy Word of truth,
We bless Thee for Thy peace;
And we do bless Thee, Lord, because
There is a THRONE OF GRACE.

We extend our sincere sympathy to the family of Andrea Endicott who our Lord called home last week. We sure will miss Andrea’s faithfulness and warm smile.
BELIEF AND UNBELIEF
Our flesh will make up many excuses to not believe on Christ. Maybe we are like the Jews who require signs to prove Christ to us. Maybe we are like the Greeks who seek after a Savior who makes logical sense to our dead minds. (I Cor. 1:22) Maybe we cannot give up trusting in our works like the Pharisees. Maybe we understand exactly what the gospel says about salvation in Christ alone and we refuse to hear it anymore, saying “This is an hard saying; who can hear it?”(John 6:60)
But there is only one reason a person will believe on Christ: because God the Holy Spirit gives the gift of faith in Christ. (Eph. 2:8) No sinner will ever believe on Christ until we hear Christ preached with the ear of God given faith. (Eph. 1:13)

God’s Mercy To His Chosen Sinners
Sinners, whom God sovereignly chose in Christ before the world began, having nothing to do (not even one single good work) in order to be saved. GOD sent His beloved Son to die for them. HE paid their sin debt in full on the cross – and It Is Finished! (John 19:30) In the fullness of His time, God the Father will draw every single one of them to Christ, and this will be their response... “The publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven,but
smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner” (Luke 18:13)

Waiting On the Lord
“I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word
do I hope.” (Psalm 130:5).
Waiting on the Lord does not imply idleness on the part of the believer. His people are active in the kingdom of God; zealous of good works (Titus 2:14); diligent about their Father's business (Luke 2:49); vigorous in spreading the gospel by whatever means the Lord supplies (Acts 5:41-42). Our God highly disapproves of idleness; "Woe to them that are at ease in Zion" (Amos 6:1).
However, we do wait on Him for direction, open doors, liberty, wisdom, and for results. Here is the source, strength and the sweetness of our waiting, "In His WORD I do hope." His WORD is always successful (Isaiah 55:11); His WORD is always true (Psalm 33:4); His WORD is living (John 1: 14) and powerful (Heb. 4:12). The apostle Paul declared that he labored hard in preaching the WORD, but he waited on the Lord for the results. Listen to what he said, "I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase" (1 Cor. 3:6). Let us be diligent laborers in the kingdom of God, always striving to preach the WORD, Jesus Christ, but let us be just as diligent to wait on the Lord for the results. His blessings are worth waiting for (1 Cor. 1:30).
Pastor Tom Harding
When our Lord was 12 years old, Mary and Joseph and their whole physical family went a day’s journey thinking Christ was with them, only to find out in the end He was not. The Scriptures tell us to “be not deceived”. What a tragedy to travel through our whole lives just assuming the Lord is with us, only to find out in the end he is not.
Give diligence to make your calling and election sure! Ask the Lord for our Daily bread (as He taught us to pray). We need to see Christ, have communion with Him, delight in Him, and feast on him every hour. Not just when we get to the place we are going, but the whole of the journey in this valley of the shadow of death!
