CALL TO WORSHIP
How rich the depths of love Divine
Of bliss a boundless store
Dear Savior let me call Thee mine
I could not wish for more – I could not wish for more.
On Thee alone my hope relies
Beneath Thy cross I fall
My Lord, my life, my sacrifice
My Savior and my all – My Savior and my all.
How great Thy wisdom, pow’r and grace
That in redemption shine
The heavenly hosts with joy confess
The work is all Divine – The work is all Divine.
Before His face they cast their crowns
Those crowns which Jesus gave
And with ten thousand, thousand tongues
Proclaim His power to save – Proclaim His power to save.
(Tune: “Majestic Sweetness Sits Enthroned” p. 52)

THE GOD OF JACOB
The God of Jacob is the God who saves unworthy sinners like Jacob. The God of Jacob chose to save unworthy Jacob. (Rom. 9:13) The God of Jacob revealed Himself to Jacob at Bethel. (Gen. 28:10-15) The God of Jacob gave Jacob a new name, Israel (a prince of God) (Gen. 32:24-30) The God of Jacob kept Jacob and shepherded Jacob his whole life long. (Gen 48:15-16)
Psalm 146:5 says “Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God” Any sinner who God saves like He saved Jacob, is a happy sinner.
God’s people are happy to be chosen of God in divine election even though we don’t deserve it. God’s people are happy that God did not leave them to their own devices, but He revealed Himself to them through the preaching of the gospel. God’s people are happy that the Lord joined Himself to them and changed their name to His name: Jehovah-tsidkenu, the Lord our Righteousness. (Jer. 33:16) God’s people are happy to depend on the Lord to shepherd us and keep us our whole life long. God’s people are happy that their salvation depends entirely on God to do all of the saving for them.

WHAT IS THE CHURCH?
From the Scriptures we know the church is His body, His bride, the people He loved and purchased with His own blood that He sees as glorious, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing. It is the church of Christ, the church of God, the house of God, the pillar and ground of the Truth. It is that which He built and of which He is the Head. It is the ones He feeds, and walks in their midst, and promises His presence. It is the place from whose midst He sings. It is the general assembly and church of the firstborn whose names are written in heaven. It is that group of people of whom Christ said, “In as much as ye have done it to the least of these My brethren, you have done it to Me.” We see how important church is to Him. How important is it to you?
Pastor Todd Nibert
Our Lord came on purpose, to save a particular people, and He accomplished what He came to do! If you are one of those particular people, and if He accomplished salvation for you, then He will notify you of it through the preaching of His Word. In His notification, He will convince you of the fact that you are a sinner; the worst sinner you have ever known! That is the very reason why He had to die. It was to save you from your sins. His death was God the Father’s free gift to you. And in His free gift, you are completely redeemed! It was all appointed by the Father and obtained by the Son. To Him be glory forever!
Pastor Gabe Stalnaker
How much religion, tradition, and ceremony can a man know and observe and yet not know God? Well, the Jews observed thousands of Passovers yet never saw CHRIST, OUR PASSOVER. They slew thousands of lambs and never saw CHRIST, THE LAMB OF GOD. They kept thousands of Sabbaths and never knew the rest of CHRIST, OUR SABBATH. They ordained thousands of priests and never saw CHRIST, THE GREAT HIGH PRIEST. They actually carried the mercy seat on their shoulders yet never came to CHRIST, OUR MERCY SEAT. They ate the manna and drank from that Rock but never tasted the bread and water of life-CHRIST JESUS. Oh, Lord, open my eyes to see Him who is all and in all!
