CALL TO WORSHIP
Jesus, Thy blood and righteousness
My beauty art my glorious dress
Midst flaming worlds in these arrayed
With joy shall I lift up my head.
This spotless robe the same appears
When ruined nature sinks in years
No age can change its glorious hue
The robe of Christ is ever new.
When from the dust of death I rise
To join the ransomed in the skies
E’en then shall this be all my plea
That Christ has lived and died for me.
O let the dead now hear Thy voice
Now bid Thy people to rejoice
Our beauty this, our glorious dress
JESUS, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
(Tune: “From Every Stormy Wind That Blows” p. 355)

I would like to say thank you to all of our teachers and helpers who did such a great job in Bible School this week. It was such a fun week with our children, and I pray that the Lord will be pleased someday to allow you to see some of the fruits of your labors.
We will have a dinner following the service today to honor our high school graduates, Alexis Baldwin, Kelsi Jones, and Allison Rogers. May our Lord be pleased to bless these young ladies as they begin this next chapter in their lives. We also congratulate our college graduates, Brady Floyd and Jack Leith.
ABLE TO SAVE
“Able to save” means something more than just delivering men from hell. “Able to save” is the whole work of salvation from the first conviction of sin to complete glorification. Christ is not only “Able to save” those who repent, but He is able to make men repent. Christ is not only “Able to save” those who believe, but He is able to give a new heart and work faith in men. Christ is not only “Able to save” those who continue in the faith, but He is able to keep us from falling and give us a holy desire to be like Him.
Henry Mahan
Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD. Jeremiah 23:32
It is vitally important that we only preach and only listen to the true gospel. There is no profit in a false gospel because salvation cannot be born from a lie. God’s elect are born again with the WORD OF TRUTH (James 1:18). True salvation requires The Truth, the Lord Jesus Christ. A false gospel will appeal to the flesh, and even give some comfort and confidence to the flesh by giving the flesh something to do to earn salvation. That false gospel may make a person more law abiding, but it will never lead to salvation because a false gospel never produces the new birth, never leads to surrender to Christ, and never leads to faith in Christ.
Let us pray for the grace to preach Christ out of a love for God. Let us also pray for the grace to preach Christ out of a love for the lost. The only way the lost will be saved is to hear Christ preached. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation (Eph 1:13).

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6
The word “the” spoken with the authority of our Lord expressly implies that he is completely singular as the only “one”. If God chooses not to reveal this life-giving truth, then those who hear these words are left believing their “own way”, trusting in “the lie”, and will forever remain dead in tresspasses and in sin. Thank God for His sovereign choice in the revelation of Jesus Christ to His elected dead dog sinners. “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)” Eph. 2:4&5.
Pastor Caleb Hickman
The more faithful the Lord is to bless us, the more prone we are to take His favor for granted. I pray that He will not need to take away any of His mercies from us, in order to remind us from whence they come.
