CALL TO WORSHIP
Chief of sinners though I be, Jesus shed His blood for me
Died that I might live on high, lived that I might never die
As the branch is to the vine, I am His and He is mine.
O the heights of Jesus’ love! Higher than the heav’ns above
Deeper than the depths of sea, lasting as eternity
Love that found me – wondrous thought,
Found me when I sought Him not.
Jesus only can impart, balms to heal the smitten heart
Peace that flows from sin forgiv’n, joy that lifts the soul to heav’n
Faith and hope that walk with God, in the way that Enoch trod.
Chief of sinners though I be, Christ is All in All to me
All my wants to Him are known, all my sorrows are His own
Safe with Him from earthy strife, He sustains the hidden life.
O, my Savior, help afford, by Thy Spirit and Thy Word!
When my wayward heart would stray, keep me in Thy narrow way
Grace in time of need supply, while I live and when I die.
(Tune: Rock of Ages p. 126)

THERE IS FORGIVENESS WITH THEE – Psalm 130:4
Even though I am the worst of sinners, there is a good hope that my sins will be forgiven because there is forgiveness with God. I know that there is forgiveness with God because God has promised to forgive sin. “I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.” (Jer. 31:34)
I know that God will not withhold mercy from sinners because “he delighteth in mercy” (Micah 7:18).
I know that God will be merciful to His people because God found a way to show mercy to sinners in justice. God forgives the sin of His people because the Lord Jesus Christ suffered and died for their sin. God’s justice demands death for sin. Since Christ has already died for the sin of His people, they can never die. Now God’s justice demands that His elect be forgiven of all of their sin and be given eternal life. Then mercy is sure because the very character of God demands it. “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace” (Eph. 1:7).
Pastor
For the believer who has been saved by God’s grace, sacrificing to support the gospel and to help our brethren in need is not a grievous duty, it is a service of joy.

“And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:” - Colossians 2:10
There is nothing about me that feels complete. I always feel there is something lacking in my faith, love, repentance, sincerity or anything else. But God’s Word tells me I am complete in Him. Not I will be complete or I am in the process of being made complete, but I am, right now, complete, lacking nothing, completely filled. However complete the Christ is, that is how complete I am; “As He is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17). We have this on the authority of God’s Word. We may not feel complete, but we are complete.
Pastor Todd Nibert
In a precious moment of indescribable grace, a former blasphemer of Christ, hanging upon a cross and justly condemned to die, was powerfully rescued from the gaping mouth of hell. The bondage and darkness of sin had formerly moved him to rail upon the Savior of sinners like another thief present...but the grace of God which would not let this vessel of His compassion and mercy die in his sins snatched this eternally loved sinner from those awaiting jaws of death and gave him a new heart that now pled for forgiveness. It was not the thief’s free-will decision but rather a new heart that moved him to speak the words of his need, “Lord, remember me when Thou comest into Thy kingdom.” And the Lord who promised life to all who come to Him for mercy gave these words of promise, “Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with Me in paradise.”
Pastor Marvin Stalnaker
Whenever the manifestation of sin is seen as the problem, we will focus our attention on the symptom rather than the cause. We will try to clean up the outside of the cup while the inside remains full of corruption. Let us be careful not to whitewash tombs and call it life. Sin is a problem of the heart. Circumcision of the heart is a work of grace not performed by the hands of man. It is the Spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing. Create in me a clean heart, O God. A broken and contrite heart He will not despise, because it is He that made it.
