“The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.”
Proverbs 21 verse 1.
For king above we could read “judge” as the representative of the Crown.
Dear Friends,
My court case is coming up again next week on Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th of March at the Employment Appeals Tribunal in London. I hope to be present.
I was sacked from my work at the Department for Work and Pensions because I refused to use transgender pronouns. I believe that the Government has no right to order its employees to lie. It is impossible for a person to change sex. Trust me I’m a doctor.
The case includes consideration of freedom of speech and freedom from forced speech. It also involves freedom of belief, and also freedom to live according to belief. In view of this I would have thought that everyone, including the judge, and the transgender lobby, would support my cause as, who does not want these things? As a Christian, fully believing in the Lord Jesus Christ as the Saviour of the World, I totally hope and pray that we will win, as the consequences of not doing so are potentially serious, and the blessings of winning are substantial, for both us, and for everyone else.
In my initial case a ruling was made dismissing Christianity and requiring belief in transgender ideology. The Equalities Act makes it clear that Christianity is protected. We have also had help form the victory of Maya Forstater and she has also been forthright in offering to help my case. Thank you Maya. Maya won the fight to say that she believes that science shows that a person cannot change sex.
An attempt may also be made to argue that only current liberal Anglican belief can be defined as Christianity. This is contrary to the Equalities Act which does not require me to following of a particular denomination.
I have had considerable support from Christian Concern headed by Andrea Williams. Their excellent legal team at the Christian Legal Centre is, again, running my case. Those who want updates on my case are referred to their website.
Please pray for my lawyers from the Christian Legal Centre especially, as they shoulder the brunt of the work.
Please pray that media interest would enable us to speak up for what we believe.
Please pray that we would win.
Summary of case:
Freedom from forced speech
Freedom from forced belief
Freedom to live according to belief
Objection to the government requiring employees to lie
