“ Smashing Christian Idolatry and Superstitions! ” Powerful, plain preaching and spiritual iconoclasm against the common and generational idolatry in American Christianity and churches. The visual imagery used to teach children about Jesus Christ especially is strongly rebuked and warned against. Particularly during Christmas are the merchandisers of religion busy selling and displaying their crafted artistic images which the 2nd commandment plainly condemns and teaches that God hates. "Another Jesus" and another gospel is being taught by the use of images and prevalent religious practices.

“ Great Sermon! ” Painting a "Picture of Jesus" is not a tribute to the Savior. It's idolatry. Like Pastor Shelton said in the sermon it proceeds from the natural mind of fallen man and therefore is to be detested and seen for the abomination it really is.

“ Great Sermon! ” At 17;52 pastor Shelton says "Spare the rod, spoil the child, despite popular opinion, the famous saying, "Spare the rod, spoil the child," cannot be found anywhere in the Bible. The saying, however, should not be considered invalid as there are verses that promote a similar concept.
Proverbs 13:24
He who withholds his rod hates his son,
But he who loves him disciplines him diligently.
Proverbs 22:15
Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child;
The rod of discipline will remove it far from him.
Proverbs 23:13-14
Do not hold back discipline from the child,
Although you strike him with the rod, he will not die.

Great message though. He seemes like he was a man of God with an obvious heart for children.
“ THIS IS A NEEDED MESSAGE! ” In many ways I think this is the best, most needed and experimental, of all the sermons I have heard! And in my time I have heard THOUSANDS of Calvinistic sermons. Please listen to this message with an open heart, and may God speak to you about your own soul's condition. SALVATION is far more than believing the Bible or believing the "doctrines of grace." It is to be convicted of the Spirit and brought down to the end of your self-righteous way, brought to "know Christ" by the mighty revelation of the Spirit and power of God.
