“ A Message to the Heart of an Awakened Sinner! ” I am so glad that the messages of this preacher, the late Pastor L. R. SHELTON SR., were brought into my life as a teenager. God took the Word home to my heart, convinced me that my little religious profession was all a thing of the flesh, and brought me to hunger after the righteousness of God in Christ. One day He brought me to the end of myself and reveald the Lord Jesus as the Perfect payment of my sin-debt. God applied His blood to my heart and I was set free.
Has this ever happened to you? If not, I pray that you'll be drawn to listen to this message, "Good Tidings to the Guilty." AMEN!
“ Great Teaching! ” How the Scripture teaching that is Calvinism, brings the sinner to seek his Saviour, and reveals the depravity that prevents you from doing so. And is that not the very doctrine of salvation in Christ alone!!

I used to hear him on the radio years ago.
When he preaches I hear the Lord speaking
to me through him.
You don't hear many preachers today that speak with the power of the Holy Spirit.

After 19 years at our church the elders have fired our minister. He is a godly family man but has been at odds with them since they were deacons.
We do not think this is scripturally correct. Acts 6:1-6
His position is God ordained and not elected by men. Comments please.

If you don't believe in the doctrine of God's election- YOU SHOULD TAKE TIME TO LISTEN TO THIS MESSAGE!!! I've listened to this and most of Brother Shelton's messages that are on this web site, and he is a true preacher of the word and truth. “ Isn't it too dogmatic to say that a saved person must know it for certain? ” A self-deceived religious soul certainly needs a stern warning; however, a wavering and doubting saint needs God's Word of assurance and comfort (1John 5:13), not condemnation and judgment. Only the Word, not emotions or experiences, is the basis of our assurance of salvation.
“ Great Sermon! ” You will not hear this type of preaching today. Most Pastors would be scared to death to present what God gives to us in His Word. This is the Lordship of Jesus Christ. "Wives submit yourselves to your husbands" "Husbands submit yourself to Christ" Great Mother's day sermon.
“ Great Sermon! ” A truly inspired message which helps all of us to understand what is worship and more importantly, how we should worship. As an added benefit, we see how far the churches of today have strayed from worship by using various symbols and artifacts in the church.
“ Great Sermon, but... ” The good pastor should have read a bit further in Exodus before condemning images outright. We need to weigh Ex. 20:3-4 with what it says at Ex. 25:18-20. The Lord's instructions to Moses in Numbers 21:8-9 should also be taken into account.
“ Here are Divine Principles of Worship! ” This is one of the messages that has had LASTING influence on my life. Having first heard it when Pastor Shelton preached it back in the early days, this timely word helped me to guard against the superficiality of most modern religion — built upon forms and traditions that the eye can see, not upon the precepts of the Word of God. Hear this message with a receptive heart and may God grant you to walk in the old paths of true New Testament Christianity!
“ Great Sermon! ” I thank God for Rev. Shelton and this particular sermon which has lead me, and convicted me, to gather my family together each night for the study of God's word and pray.
Oh for Pastors like Rev. Shelton who would once again turn the hearts of fathers to care for their children in prayer and worship at the FAMILY ALTAR.
“ This is needed. ” A message to search the heart! It is all-important that the man who is preaching the gospel must be one who has EXPERIENCED GOD'S GREAT SALVATION himself. The trouble in the present apostate condition of the average church is that the men coming into the places of leadership are still UNSAVED.
“ Powerful Sermon! ” How powerful and explosive is the liberty that God offers, to they trapped in the snare of the devil's chain. This preaching is needed in a world that believes not that sin is really that bad. Glory to God for God's Truth!
