Thank you for clarifying and supporting the biblical context we have for rejoicing when God grants victory and justice over an enenmy.

“ Thank you - great quote ”
Thank you for the great quote where an unbeliever mentioned he wanted to go hear Whitefield preach and his friend inquired if he was believed in God. The man's reply was "No, but George Whitefield does". This quote made me brave today. Thank you, Pastor Raines. To steal from a movie ("The Princess Bride"): "Never go against a Sicilian [Christian] when death is on the line!"... course, those were his last words. Well, so be it, eh. Death is, indeed, on the line so please, I beg you, pray for a soul named Kristina today (4/10/11), and perhaps, also pray for a Wimpy Kid named Sue.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Excellent resource to share with those who may be otherwise enamored with this dangerous tale. P.S. You have probably been told that Bruce Cockburn pronounces his name 'KOH-bərn' and Eugene Peterson is the author of 'The Message' = a very bad paraphrase of the Bible.

“ Awful Sermon ”
This Sunday School message commands awe! Listen to this sermon if you are a woman, if you are a child, if you teach (ugh), if you are a daughter, if you are a mother, if you deal on a daily basis with unconverted neighbors, coworkers or family. Listen to this sermon if this very weekend you maybe "slipped" up "only JUST a little" with your tongue and listen ESPECIALLY if you think you haven't sinned with that little fire in your mouth THAT much or in a long while. My mouth. "Respectable" sin? Oh, how awful! Thank you, Pastor Raines. Thank you.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Thanks! According to leading Christian broadcaster and OPC Pastor, Kevin Swanson: "[Divorce is] putting a gun to the family and pulling the trigger." Who will stop this family-cide? Doesn't it seem implausible that Jesus would permit this? Aren't the little ones the most harmed? Who will rescue them? Good message.

“ Fear of God. ”
We must not fear men, but only fear God and reverence Him. This will cast out all the other wrong fears. I liked this idea: the man who fears not God fears everything. It is true.

“ Excellent Excerpt ”
Regarding the week long festive food display in the teachers lounge and the Wednesday night staff party: "either you must lose your lusts or your pleasures and delights or you cannot expect to find favor with God...". Key message from the text: redeem the time & honor Christ. Thanks for the reading, Tom.

“ Worship. ”
The worship of the ungodly is an abomination before the Lord, it cannot be received by the Lord. So God will purify His people, will make His people to worship Him in righteousness.

“ God of revelation. ”
Our hope is that we have a God who is speaking, not a silent God. A God who reveals His will and who gives us guidance. God sends preachers to speak to people His will.
