Much Needed Sermon! Dear Rev. Colin Mercer,
Thank you for this sermon. I needed this message. A little over a year ago, my wife left me and took our 4 daughters away from me. Please pray for me. I am everything you preached in this message. I trust my Lord and God. Please pray for me, and your congregation if you would. It is mostly because of the Gospel Once Delivered (Jude 3) that my wife left me. She said that unless I leave my church (which preaches the right doctrines - John 7) we can never be reconciled. Please pray for my daughters. We need God's mercy.
Sincerely,
James M. Lawson

Davey Heresy Trials This little booklet while interesting does not state clearly that the Free Presbyterian Church was not formed as a direct result of the Davey heresy trials but in my opinion leaves that impression. It was the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (then called the Irish Evangelical Church) that was formed directly out of these trials in 1927. The booklet does not state why or how the Free Presbyterian Church was formed. You would probably be better getting the information from the internet.
Great Sermon! WOW! Praise God for His children and the family of God! This is a great movie and I shall watch it again.....thank you for sharing it and making it available to the world.

Important to know the history Like Pastor Hamilton's series on the Covenanters, this is an important series about events in Protestant history and very well worth listening to for many reasons, including appreciation of the sacrifices made so that we can have religious freedom today, and to help draw a distinction between true Christianity and what passes for popular belief today. Take some time to listen to these messages!
Great Sermon! I was truely blessed and learned much, listening to the Nehemiah series. I did not realize the depths of the passion Nehemiah had for God and His Word. I pray God raises up more men like him!
Great Sermon! Thank you brother Colin. I love this sermon and am listening to part 2 now. True in my life, that it is the little things in my life that spoil. I am constantly surprised at the things of the world that I cling to. The things I still love, that I shouldn' t. Thank you that now through your sermon the Holy Spirit has been able to bring conviction in my life of things that are hindering my walk with the Lord.
What is and is not salvation I coincidentally listened to this sermon at the same time I saw a broadcast by Rod Parsley where someone had given over a million dollars (US) to one of his endless fundraising efforts, and the TV channel that carried the broadcast was raising more millions to build a huge new facility. Does anyone think these folks will preach that people can't be saved by works? I'm sure the people who give millions think they're buying into salvation in some measure. If you want to know the truth, go to the Bible.
Great Sermon! This is without a doubt the best Christmas story yet. Bible prophesy with a bible lesson. A must hear. This sermon could be preached any time of the year, not just at christmas. A keeper
Follow on sermon This message is a continuation of a previous message preached on the subject of worldliness. The messages should be listened to consecutively. Thank you.
Hansen's Disease This sermon mentions Rev. McCrea meeting a leper - the historic name has such a bad association with it that it's called Hansen's Disease now. One of the best books I've ever read is "The Gift Of Pain", the story of Dr. Paul Brand who did pioneering research on Hansen's Disease which revolutionized our understanding of it. Follow him from WWII to India to Carville, LA - which was once the only leper colony in the USA, but has closed because leprosy is now treated as an outpatient condition! Only the love of Christ could have reached out to these people and helped their condition. The book is especially meaningful for people with chronic painful conditions trying to understand their pain. See http://tinyurl.com/tpngr - the book is co-authored by Phillip Yancey, but is not one of his books - he simply retold Brand's story in print.
The truth about Christians A to-the-point look at what a true Christian is, from the Bible. Many people may find sermonaudio.com like I did, accidentally when surfing or googling, and may not be Christians at all (and wonder what the belief is about or why anyone would be one), or were exposed to the pseudo-Christianity from television or from modern kinds of Christianity which have drifted from the true faith. This sermon is like a checklist to let you know what true Christianity is, and how to know if you are a Christian. Listen to it, with a Bible in hand!
Good In-Depth Teaching This is long, but very good and worth a listen. It's an in-depth look at what separates Free Presbyterians, and almost all Fundamentalists, from the liberal and Pentecostal world, with respect to the Bible as the Word of God.

I hope Rev. Mercer continues the series.
Outstanding series ... This series is an outstanding look at holiness, well worth the time to listen and make notes. This is an in-depth study, which clearly shows what the Bible says about the subject, and clears up misconceptions in both directions (somber, lifeless "holiness" vs no holiness). I found the series both convicting (i.e. time to jerk the slack out) and hopeful (that not only is more holiness possible, but that it's also worthwhile). Highly recommended!
