There are occasions in the Christian’s life when he is compelled to walk in the way of trouble. He exchanges the mountain top for the gloomy path of the valley. He loses his joy and is overcome with grief; he sighs instead of sings. He is weary instead of being strong. He grows tired instead of pressing on. He walks in darkness and trouble seems to overwhelm his soul! Though we are children of light – we often experience periods when it seems we have no light. What is the answer in times like this? Trust in the night as well as the day!!

Great Sermon! What a blessing encouragment this sermon is. How black and dark is this christian walk sometimes. Sometimes we need a word like this to help us through.

A HOPE-FILLED ENCOURAGING MESSAGE This came at the right time! Normally, I am upbeat and positive. I always find hope amidst the darkness. I want to live for Christ, be used by Him and for His glory but suddenly I've found myself in an impossible situation. With no place to move in 30 days I will be out in the street. After looking for three months, I have begun to lose hope in finding a place to live. Am up against the Red Sea & the waters are all around me & in front of me. Only He can part it and do the impossible. Even my young pastor, God bless him, doesn't understand though he tries. I feel ashamed for feeling this low & discouraged/hopeless. This sermon was AMAZING. It is what the Great Physician and Wonderful Counselor ordered me to hear and remind me I'm not alone. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for such a needed hope-filled message and for your compassion and understanding which shines through this message. God bless you richly, Pastor. I plan to spend the whole day in prayer tomorrow because of this. This message was exactly what I needed to hear.

Great Sermon! This was so encouraging to me! I have been trying to learn to have a greater trust in God during dark times.
The verse "Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him" was meaningful and also difficult.
In the midst of darkness, we just have to cast ourselves upon Him, and wait for Him! (don't try to kindle your own fire)
Thank you for this great encouragement.

Great encouragement What an encouragement this sermon is, and a reminder that there are no 'levels' of suffering. Each has his own suffering and darkness that requires trust in God - not a trite phrase, as this minister so rightly puts it, but a reality that will lift up and encourage when the believer is in darkness. A great review of what the Word has to say to those who are weary.

Much Needed Sermon! Dear Rev. Colin Mercer,
Thank you for this sermon. I needed this message. A little over a year ago, my wife left me and took our 4 daughters away from me. Please pray for me. I am everything you preached in this message. I trust my Lord and God. Please pray for me, and your congregation if you would. It is mostly because of the Gospel Once Delivered (Jude 3) that my wife left me. She said that unless I leave my church (which preaches the right doctrines - John 7) we can never be reconciled. Please pray for my daughters. We need God's mercy.
Sincerely,
James M. Lawson

Great sermon!! Thank You, Sermon Audio for this sermon by Pastor Mercer.I listened to this sermon yesterday and it helps to have these sermons when you are struggling. I am having a hard time keeping my head above water[but I am not struggling with assurance]I hesitate to say that I am going through a Job like experience like is written in Job 23:3-5, 8-10, but I have God's Word in verses 11-12 to strengthen me in these trials and I haven't abandoned Him, because He hasn't left me alone. I thank God that I have His Word [and this sermon has been a sermon God is using to get back me on track, I am going through some things that overwhelm me at times and without Sermon Audio making these sermons available, helps me to get my focus back. God is so faithful
