Great Sermon! Thank you for this wonderful message. Truly, reading the Word daily and digesting its truths will equip us believers for the never ending battle against the world, the flesh, and the devil.
Great Sermon! Why not accept what Jesus says, as to why he doesn't save everybody!
Mat 13:37Â He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;Â
Mat 13:38Â The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;Â
Mat 13:39Â The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.Â
Mat 13:40Â As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.Â
Joh 8:43Â Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.Â
Joh 8:44Â Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.
Great Sermon! This is well done. To me, the greatest danger in praying for revival is that God may ask something of you that you don't expect to do!
Is this title the right one? I can't understand why this beautiful explanation of separation from the ungodly who are in apostasy is titled "Child Chastisement Not Forever."
Great Sermon! With my respect to the good speaker, I believe that the scripture gave a simple and clear answer to this question:
It was his revelation to Israel as the Christ, The annointed one! ... as it is clearly indicated in John 1:31-33 ...
Joh 1:31-ESV "I myself did not know him, but for this purpose I came baptizing with water, that he might be revealed to Israel."
God bless you,
RR
Sound exegetical teaching in my humble opinion. This gentleman in 7 minutes does what I heard countless other preachers in hours not do: reflects on the scriptures of Hebrews 6:4 and 10:26 through an exegetical study. The book's title is HEBREWS. It speaks about "the blood of bulls and goats" in verse 6 but somehow "sin willingly" in v26 has no bearing on that or the possibility of "sin" meaning "knowing what to do and not doing it". Instead let's scare the life out of the believer!
What in the world? So from chapter 6 to chapter 10 (and in between & before) is referencing the unpardonable sin? Thank God ministers like this man take the whole book and comment.
Try to return to God after terrible life decisions that have to do with repeated backsliding bc of addiction and lack of perseverance and you have to sift through eisegesis type of scripture grabbing. Man, scary stuff!
Great Sermon! Well written but personally I NEVER close my prayers "in Jesus Name" but in the Name of the Lord Jesus or the Lord Jesus Christ as the writer mentioned.
Great Sermon! I love you,Dr Cairns. Once I heard you say that there was nothing good about growing old but every day spent is one day closer to Home! Tomorrow I will turn 79! Some day I will meet you in Heaven!
Great Sermon! What a tremendous gift from the Lord to have a pastor who can so articulately and passionately open up God's Word in a clear & understandable manner! A great blessing!
Great Sermon! I agree with your comment of same sex marriage. Can you tell me how do we respond to homosexuals when they show affection for each other right front of us in a public place. Now that it's the "Law" in Calif. How do we still be like Jesus when we meet them and show that He loves all sinners but not their sin? I can see it coming that they will be more open about this as more states ok this. Thank you Steve
Great Sermon! If we need to enter the Father's presence by way of His Son's name, why do we end the prayer with "in Jesus' name?" Why not begin it that way. I always begin my prayers in the manner of "Heavenly Father, In Jesus' name....."
