Fundamental Message Back to traditional values and a biblical point of view of the home. The title is so true. Imagine a world where the devil schemes, influences and deceives society. God though is greater and will be the ultimate winner in any battle.
Accept No Substitutes: Back to the Bible! An outstanding sermon that calls on Christians to begin and/or to maintain a daily quiet time reading the Bible. Christians need to keep in the Word to nourish and to cleanse and to convict. Pastor Sawyer notes that daily Bible reading is too easily neglected, often by longtime believers who have read the Bible many times (perhaps adopting a "been there, done that" attitude). Reading inspirational Christian books or "snacking" on a verse is no substitute for a diligent and dedicated reading of the Bible (gulp--a crime of which I'm guilty). Pastor Sawyer adds that believers who have no desire to read God's Word may not truly be saved or may be harboring an unrepented sin. I especially appreciated the anecdote about the man who each day would not eat any food until he had first feasted on the bread that is the Bible. Thank you for sharing this convicting yet encouraging message.
This sermon is extremely important! This sermon is very important. Today we are faced with so many new age religions often masquerading as christian faith. This sermon will wake you up from the seducing spirits of this world and this corrupt system that is enticing the very lives of all who are alive. Praise God for this. WE are close to the Anti-Christ exposing himself and Jesus Christ Return. Praise God. I would also like to hear more sermon's like this one. Any good ones, please email me at marmelissa@gmail.com God bless the faithful redeemed believers.
Great Sermon! Wonderful sermon.
Here are more verses that Jesus said about when the dead will rise : John 6:39-40. And John 11:23-24 I have been disfellowshipped from a independant baptist church I started going to because I believe the day of the Lord The last day. I don't mind because I was kicked out of the JW's for believing in Jesus for salvation . I have never been to bible collage. Maybe that's why I was not indoctrinated with the pertrib rapture myth.
Good Message! I would agree that all sin has at it's root selfishness. And while selfishness is certainly the basis for all sin, pride goes further. It exalts oneself to a position reserved only for God. Pastor Sawyer's message is well worth a listen to the end - especially during the season of selfishness. The holiday is all about "what do you want for Christmas?"
Great Sermon! Wow! Just what I needed to hear. Thank you. I don't actually identify myself with Jesus. Yes, most Christians have a mistaken identity.
