Great Sermon! This sermon is a wonderful encouragement for all believers especially those who are in a spirit of defeatism. Dr. Olinger not only challenges the myth of the super Christian but also teaches how all believers can grow in the Lord.
a half hour well spent ! This brother started the sermon by bringing to our attention that many young believers are discouraged and disastisfied, and he endeavours to answer the question why this is so.
This sermon can be applied to those a bit older too!he tells us what God has made available to the believer in Christ, so that it is possible to live an abundant and satisfying Christian life. Thankuou brother for this uplifting sermon, which gets us back to basics of the love of our Saviour for His sheep. Thankyou also for sharing the testimony of the couple who lost their sons in that tragic way, and how they responded to that providence in such a wonderfully victorious way,as befitting true saints.Listening to this sermon was indeed a half hour well spent!
most challenging message As Christians, we KNOW that our redeemer liveth.(Job 19:25) As Christians we KNOW in whom we have beleived.(2 Timothy 1:12 )Our brother challenges us ,though ,as to whether, in the frantic, hectic lives we live,do we really get to KNOW God ?How many of us are guilty in neglect of this? Thankyou borther Olson for this challenging sermon which indeed has stopped me in my tracks, to consider this most important aspect of my Christian life, to be still and get to know my God, and the means to do so,through Christ. A most practical and challenging sermon indeed.
sound wisdom! I was intrigued by the title of this sermon, as humanly speaking i am a "loser" in life. This brother looks at the time of God calling to Adam (whilst he was trying to hide from God), as Christ seeking and saving those who were lost, which was a lovely thought.Brother Wisdom preaches as why some of the Lord's people are "defeated" in their lives,by providence, so that He brings them back to a closer walk with Himself, in showing them their failure and limitations.Blessed Saviour! a sermon which is sound wisdom indeed!
Thankyou brother for an uplifting sermon.
A hit home the truth Sermon In this second sermon on this subject, brother Hummel gets straight into the reason why nobody wins by thinking they are "private" in logging onto sinfulness online.
He points out how Satan wants to destroy the saints testimony, at the very least.
I found this a very challenging sermon , which surely must hit home at the truth , and may it please the Lord to quicken many souls whom are perhaps logging onto things they ought not, or looking at similar in newspapers and magazines, and so they hang their heads in shame, and return unto the Lord in full repentance.
This sermon , i have no question of doubting, will speak to the conscience of those who take to the pulpits, as well as those, who sit in the pews.
may the Lord have mercy upon us all.
Wonderful Exposition! Dr. Custer's simple, straight-forward exposition of this text is enriching and heart-warming. In the midst of so much existential nonsense concerning the believer's relationship with Christ, this powerful message shows what it means to depend consciously on the life-giving power of the Vine and maintain continuing conversation with him.
Great Sermon! I thank the Lord for your faithfulness in expounding His Word.As a deceived wordly christian I needed to hear this Word and have asked the Lord to forgive my self righteouness and wicked living. I promise, God helping me, to walk after Him, to keep His commandments,His testimonies and His statutes, with all my heart and with all my soul.
I rejoice and thank you Lord for speaking into my heart and soul through the preaching of Your Word by your faithful servant. This is your doing and it is marvelous in my eyes
Only half the Story Dr. Hummel does an excellent job of pointing out the dangers of the internet, but forgets that the internet is powerful tool both for good and evil. His message bares a subtle irony for me since it is only by the power of the internet that I am able to hear his message. Just as printing and Gutenberg brought the Bible to the world for the first time, the internet is just as revolutionary a communcation tool. Christians must find how this new paradigm in communication can be harnessed for good in the world. Sites such as this one are a good example of that good. I thank sermonaudio.com for bringing His message to all corners of the world.

Wise answers: the Best strategy Thacker's BEST point is exposing the GROSS assault on biology practices by sodomites. These practices are so gross that a rational person doesn't want to think about them.Without getting gross, Thacker points this out:Jerry delivers material on abstinence as the most effective method of stopping the spread of HIV/AIDS: once a society knows what sodomites DO, they will WANT to abstain from: not celebrate, sodomy.
Thacker (doesn't go by `Rev') is a consultant, researcher, writer, &teacher.
His book, "When AIDS Comes Home," tells how he and his family have dealt with HIV/AIDS as a result of a blood transfusion given to his wife in 1984.What is killing him got into the public blood supply from perverted unhealthy practices.
The Public Health defense that Dr. Paul Cameron's www.familyresearchinst.org recommends is upheld by Thaker's personal experience: He makes excellent low key points: take notes!
Well meant It's encouraging that Rev Thacker wants to dispel gay myths.
- He's right that depression *is* common among gays -- it's common among any hated or suppressed population, in fact. "Homosexuality is a beneficial lifestyle" -- This is one I've never heard. I've heard "gays are just anyone else." But a 42 year life expectancy? Thacker probably shouldn't be blamed for buying into the infamous Paul Cameron's poor research, here (as well as the disproven "trauma causes homosexuality" theory).
- "Sexual orientation is genetic (i.e. inborn)". He denied this, but oddly also said, "all people are born (i.e. genetically) straight." I don't get it?
- I've heard the "Homosexuals need special rights" myth before from pastors, but I've never seen a special rights law?
He condemns gays because gay sex involves the exchange of bodily sexual fluids ... but doesn't straight sex do that, too?
His "gay rights agenda", too, is probably well meant. But as near as I can find, gays didn't come up with DADT -- which causes more, not fewer, military expellations. Gays do not want to repeal age of consent any more than Focus on the Family does. And gays don't want to remove laws on the number of people in a marriage. They want equal rights.
Rev Thacker is trying very hard to do the right thing, and if what he said were accurate, his conclusions would be pretty sound. But he may not realize that claiming family must be "a father, mother, and the children they produce" invalidates all widows and adopted children in the world.
Softspoken Wisdom/Insight by AIDS sufferer Brother Jerry Thacker's points of 'mythology' cut to the core to the issue. Delivered without histrionics, but clearly calling for us to see that SIN is SIN, and that people LOVINGLY & Kindly need to share the gospel to people caught up in a "deathstyle" apopted
out of a desperate attempt to fill empty lives. Christians need to accept NO special rights for these people who are HURT, lost, and in need of the Gospel. Thacker's best point? The spread of acceptance would be stopped if the church most worked against acceptance by a focus on the DISGUSTING aspects of what these people actually do.
The Public Health issue is the best tack.
This is also the stragegy of
www.familyresearchinst.org 's Dr. Paul Cameron.
Great Sermon! This is absolutely a great sermon required in this century, which can help erase marital conflicts especially in the U.K. The principle used in this message should be used if possible by all marriage counsellors.God bless Dr.Mazak,I thank God for The wisdom of God in your life.
Great Sermon! i sat throught 4 days of meetingd with Dr Glieser and never was I so convicted about personal revival and soul winning as I was after listening to this great man of God
