Great Sermon! Pastor Voddie once again gave a powerful message. I appreciate how he tied together Pharaoh and us today. This is so applicable to what we face today. I appreciate how real he gets in addressing what we experience with similar questions, situations, heartaches. Very powerful and to the point.
Wow... a Must Hear! This was simply outstanding. This is the BEST sermon I've ever heard on this subject. Thank you Pastor Baucham! Who is it that ultimately provides for ALL our needs? I am on SSDI and lost my p/t job last Oct 2014. Finding the right p/t work has been difficult because of my physical disability. I deeply want to find work so I can be self-sufficient. That is why this has been so hard. I have been at the mercy of God and people to help me through this time. I deeply dislike being dependent on anything... anyone... including the government. I’ve been forced to depend on Him for ALL my needs. Most humbling. He has showed Himself faithful in ways I never, ever expected & continues to do so. I have even sometimes felt guilt wondering if I've stolen from those who have graciously helped but in the end am learning that ultimately everything I receive and have is from GOD. He may use people as hard as it is to accept at times. This has freed me to know that it is not in my strength and ability but in HIM. This was unbelievably refreshing and helped me to remember it is HE who is my provider, not people, not savings accounts, IRA's, stocks, investments... no, all that I have comes from HIM. He ALONE deserves the glory & praise for all that I have. I am humbled.
Great Sermon! This is for the "Christian" who is living a lifestyle of lawlessness and calling it living under grace. And for the one who is puffed up about not living like they belong to the world. Above all, it's for someone like me, who can focus on my own point of views about things rather than the perfect point of view of God.
Powerful! Must hear! God bless you for this powerful message that I needed at this time. Truly, how can one fully submit to a God he cannot see when he cannot even submit to the human being right in front of him.
Refreshing So refreshing to hear God's Word preached in its original context and true intent. Thank you Voddie for studying scripture down to its core and seeking to extract God's truth in its entirety.
Previous Latin Translations The difference is that the Jerome’s translation was the first that translated the OT from the Hebrew. The Previous Latin version OT was translated from the Septuagint which is a Greek translation of the OT scriptures. Jerome was one of the few people that know Greek, Hebrew and Latin. Additionally, the previous translations lacked scholarship and readability. Some of the words were just transliterated from Greek to Lain, so they were shunned by scholars at the time.
First Latin Vulgate time 53:20
Jerome wrote the Latin Vulgate which is the first true latin translation.
..............
Was not the Itala Old latin 150ad the first Latin Vulgate?
Great Sermon! Thank you sir, for this clear, concise exposition of this topic. May the Lord continue to bless your ministry and your preaching of the Word.
Great Sermon! Awesome word! I love the 2 Peter 3 encapsulation toward the end of Voddie's sermon. Why hasn't all this (Revelation 19 and 20 stuff) happened yet? What are we waiting for? Christ has to save all of His people in time and in history. Not one shall perish of all of His.
Great Sermon! Excellent exegesis on Revelation 20:1-3!Voddie is a great expositor and has done an excellent job on his Revelation series so far.Since I have learned what exegesis & expositing scripture is,and how to do it,I always learn the most by those preachers who preach that way.Voddie is one of the few who actually do.We have a great shortage of expository preachers but thanks be to God who continues to provide sound teaching through the few that the church has.Iron sharpens Iron!
Ouch Oh how my flesh hated this message. Ouch. Thank You Voddie for confronting me with scriptural truth and pointing out my sin. Very humbling indeed.
