This forgiveness was ultimately, completely, and finally accomplished by the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, at His first coming, as the sacrifice for sin. This sacrifice of Himself was God's will in providing salvation for mankind. At His second coming He will bring to fruition the rest of God's promises, including judgment upon those who choose to continue in their unbelief in the person and work of Jesus Christ.
