Blood sprinkled on the inanimate objects in the earthly tabernacle demonstrated the need for the people to be cleansed and forgiven because of the defilement caused by the sin they committed. To enter into the presence of holy God in His holy place in heaven requires personal, individual holiness. Thus, heaven does not need to be cleansed but everyone who wants access to heaven must be cleansed from the defilement of sin. The one and only sacrifice that provides this access and complete cleansing is only, and none other than, Jesus Christ. His one time, once and for all, final and complete payment for sin makes Him the only source of eternal salvation and life on the basis of personal faith in His person and work.
