Every Jew, just like every Gentile is in need of the salvation provided by Jesus Christ. The history of the Jews in their religious practices of the Law as given by God revealed their sin and inability to become righteous before God. However, as many in the Church today, they practiced their rituals, traditions as routines that gave an external form of obedience. However well meaning they were or are, however trusted in they are, those practices fail to change the heart of the practitioner. Genuine repentance from sin and a humble turn to God with a heart of devotion is the inner condition necessary for a right relationship with God. Religious practices and observances then become a sincere outward expression of an inner belief and new life as given by the Spirit of God. True Jews are those who are ethnically Jews and have come to have personal faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior having had their heart changed. The Jews as a distinct people group are consequently divided into two groups, those that have been born-again by faith in Jesus Christ and have had a circumcision of the heart and those who have not believed in Jesus Christ and still have uncircumcised hearts of stone as God describes them.
