Theme: People must understand they are helpless, turn to Jesus, and simply trust Him alone to enter the kingdom of God. In v. 15, the disciples give a rebuke to the people who were bringing their children to Jesus. In v. 16, Jesus gives the invitation for the children to come to Him, and we see how He truly felt about children. Through Jesus's words, we recognize that faith is a humble, dependent trust in Him. In v. 17, Jesus applies this to faith. We must trust completely and continually in the Lord.
