In vv. 17-20, we see the representation of the Passover meal, and we need to remind ourselves of the implications of the death of Jesus, remembering this is what Christ did for us. In vv. 21-23, we see the tension at the Passover. Both Divine sovereignty and human responsibility are revealed. Ultimately, we see that the fulfillment of the Passover has come. If you do not know Christ, call upon Him today and be saved! If you do know Him, may your trust in Him be the sure foundation upon which you stand.
