The first time I went to a gospel preaching church was at the FPC in Omagh, my home town in N.I. I heard people referred to as brother or sister. I thought that was Roman Catholic, who have orders of sisters, nuns, and orders of brothers, monks.
But we see here in Hebrews 13:1, that it is Biblical for Bible Christians to call one another brother or sister. We worship and trust in the same God as our heavenly Father. We are in the family of God and are members of that family, by grace.
