In vv. 4-15, he describes four further reasons for praise. We should praise God the Father for choosing us and granting us an inheritance, the Son for redeeming us, and the Spirit for sealing us. In application, how is our praise? Paul desires that we as believers take our gaze off our own lives, despite the many troubles we have, and look to the triune God, see the rich blessing of His deep grace He has given us and give Him the praise He deserves!
