"White garments" are worn by the redeemed in the book of Revelation. 3. "Crowns" mentioned are the "stephanos" meaning the victor's crown as used in the Scriptures. 4. "Elders" relate to the church in the context of the letter addressed to the churches.
Believers will find great encouragement from this glimpse into heaven of God surrounded by the representation of the Church. We are reminded what a glorious destiny awaits those whom God has saved in this age. Believers are also revealed as being clothed in white garments having been rewarded for righteous deeds and crowned as overcomers with imperishable crowns.
All of this should further motivate us to be faithful in our service to Christ knowing it matters for all eternity, and the opportunity for that service is at hand in the here and now.
