The glimpse we are given of the heavenly throne room makes obvious the fact that God - the Father & the Son are to be worshiped. Also present around the throne is the Holy Spirit in His seven-fold manifestation.
Serving as guardians surrounding the throne are four angelic beings leading in the worship. These same four will be instrumental in carrying out the forthcoming judgment on the earth. These beings serve and worship God with ready obedience, reverence and humility. Their praise centers on God's holiness, omnipotence and eternality.
What quickly becomes evident in the scene revealed is that all the attention in heaven, all the focus, is on God. The twenty-four elders follow the lead of the four angelic beings in worship as they fall before the throne. God is worshiped as Creator who is worthy of all glory and praise by, and from, His creation.
