I have heard people say, "Oh, prophecy is too difficult for me. It's too complicated!" But we can take one key passage of Scripture, and see which of the three major views one thinks it fits best and thus have settled the major issues of prophecy for oneself. The various views of prophecy can be reduced to three major view and then one needs only decide which one seems to fit Scripture best. In this session we will look at those three major views. Thankfully prophecy is not as complicated as many feel it is. Because it seems so complicated many do not study prophecy or give up trying to understand it.
God gave us a huge amount of prophecy in Scripture that has not yet been fulfilled and He gave this to us because He wants us to understand what is coming. This provides the Christian with a huge hope that helps carry one through life's many trials. Many who do not understand prophecy find it scary. When once one understands prophecy, it becomes a wonderful hope that gives one much encouragement in life. Twice in prophetic passages Paul says, "Wherefore comfort one another with these words."
