So in His experience of suffering and death, Jesus knew that all things were being worked out according to His Father's sovereign will. What about us? Do we believe that? Brothers and sisters if you do not have an unshakable belief in the pervasive sovereignty of God over every single thing that happens in this world and in your life, no matter how big, small, good or bad – that God is working all things according to the counsel of His will (Ephesians 1:11) – then you will not be prepared to suffer well."
