False Christians fall away, their stories hit the internet and now we have a tsunami of 'deconversions' from Christianity, and John is giving us a caution here-- especially the children in the faith--to not be led astray when we see this, when these antichrists turn away from the truth as they inevitably will. So the challenge for us then is that we need to grow up spiritually and be more discerning so that we are not led astray."
