Christ, the Fountain Opened for Penitent Sinners Ralph Robinson (1614-1655) Ralph Robinson was a Puritan pastor who lived in London during the time of the English Civil War (1642-1651). He was opposed to the execution of Charles I, and was implicated alongside Christopher Love, in the plot to restore the monarchy in 1651. He was arrested, but later released after petitioning for pardon. As a pastor, he was "richly furnished with gifts and graces"[1], and did not lack the grace of humility, though being held in the esteem of his brethren in ministry. What follows is drawn from Christ All in All, a collection of thirty-seven sermons which illustrate the various metaphors used to describe Christ in Scripture. "In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness." Zechariah 13:1
