I am Willing; Be Cleansed
How can I describe to you the greatness of Christ’s willingness to save you and to cleanse you from all sin? He is most certainly willing to save you from your sins, and to heal your soul. But this morning I will specifically be attempting to address those persons who may be doubting or fearing that the Lord is willing in their case. As you pray for the cleansing and healing of your soul, I would have you remember 3 truths which will help you to engage your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. These truths we will bring to the Communion Table with us toward the close of the message. The 1st truth that you should remember as you pray to the Lord Jesus, is to realize that there is a sovereignty involved in His willingness. (Verse 40) The 2nd truth to remember is that there is compassion involved in His willingness. (Verse 41 and 42) And the 3rd truth that you should remember and consider is that there is an expectation involved in His willingness. (Verse 43 - 45)
