The return to earth of Jesus Christ in judgment is a scene described as the harvest of the wicked. Those who have continued unrepentant in their rebellion against God will receive their just punishment. Christ will carry out this judgment as the sovereign ruler who will act quickly and decisively. There will be no deliberation and no negotiation. Christ is pictured as being given the message from God the Father, by an angel, that the “harvest” is ready, the time for judgment has come. This moment in time is being kept unrevealed by the Father until then.
