Much of the Scripture--because Job itself is a large book--is taken up by discourses by three ungodly men. They are only spared the wrath of God by the intervention of Job. They remind us we must continually guard against slipping into thinking we honor God that he will bless our children and us. They believe that God awards the righteous people and punishes the wicked in this lifetime. Job had even tended to think that way. We struggle with the same things that Job did. We receive the grace to take our next breath through Jesus, even when we don't get the understanding about painful situations. We know that God has everything under control.
