Yes, this is in fact a Genesis study. It's just that the Old Testament references in Genesis 3 have taken us to the most prominent New Testament complement. Just who is this The seed of the Serpent? But who is the Antichrist? If you don't like the answer, it's okay to disagree with this preacher (at least until you find out that he's right). So we're searching all over the Bible to bring you as many of connections to Genesis 3:15 as this pastor possibly can. This will also help you to understand what Christ is up to much of the time.
This has led us to a discussion of the Two Gardens (the dying garden and the grieving garden). David bought this entire area; see 2 Samuel 24 and 1 Chronicles 21. He did it because he didn't count the people with the atonement silver, like God told him to. Very bad idea. And we go from there to the tenth plague in Egypt because it's the same thing that's going on in David's case. Then we go to the Passover meal where Satan enters Judas. And that's just a brief description of the introduction. Yep, you've just entered the advanced class.
And now I'll let you figure out why our pastor is talking about Joshua and the stopping of the universe. Here's a hint: It has to do with, “You never, never ever kill Gibeonites." That will only make sense to you if you have been listening to the last several lectures in this series.
Today we're looking into 2 Samuel 21. We start at verse 1 and enjoy this pastor's questions and commentary thru verse 14. It's about Gibeonites. From here he goes over some of the questions, and now I'll let you listen to him clear some things up you.
