God is equally sovereign in whom he chooses to spread the gospel. God will often spread his gospel in ways we do not expect, with people we do not expect and in places we do not expect.
When Jesus saves a person He does not just forgive their past. He gives them a future that they could never have imagined. The calling He gives those who trust in him is not defined by the culture or religion of their environment and or upbringing. It is defined and determined by His loving purpose alone. When He saves a person their life is "predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will". We greatly dishonor His love and power when we put limits on what He can do with us or others.
Jesus dealing with this woman should encourage us to believe God to take us beyond where we think we could go. We must also never limit what God can do with any person regardless of what they have been. The only limitation to what God can do with us is our willingness to follow Him. What about you? Are you willing to follow Him where ever to ever He leads you?
