We continue in the work of the ministry here in Australia. We continue to get the gospel into the homes of our community. We have just finished knocking all the doors around the church in radius covering several communities. We have knocked on literally thousands of doors for souls. We ask the main question “If you died tonight, do you know where you would spend eternity?” We have also letterboxed these communities with a gospel flyer. We have not seen many come out from doorknocking, but God has blessed our obedience to his word and He has brought out many visitors from other places.
We have two Bible studies with two men in the church. It is 5 lessons on salvation that really nail down what is true salvation. One of these men I led to the Lord about 4 months ago. He and his family come out to church. It is exciting to see a man saved and growing.
We will be gearing up for baptisms soon as we have had 3 saved in the church family so far and need baptized.
Father’s day was September the 2nd. We had a men’s banquet with the theme “Men of Honor”, on September 1st with a good turnout of men. I preached on “Men of Honor, Honor God”.
The church choir is gearing up to sing for the National Baptist Fellowship in October. Jeremiah will be the lead trumpet in the Orchestra. Rachel will also be playing her clarinet. The NBF is a good time of fellowship and preaching with about 800 Independent Baptist in attendance.
We continue to pray for our government in accordance to 1 Timothy 2:2. We are continually praying for the salvation of our leaders and those who rule over us.
Summer is almost upon us. We had a very rainy and cold winter here in Melbourne.
The family is well and staying healthy. We have just gone for our Australian citizenship. All we have to do now is go to the ceremony and then we become true blue Aussies and can have Australian passports. Our family will be a citizen of three countries, America, Australia and Heaven. We continue to plan for our furlough for March of 2013. We have a missionary family who will help watch the church here in Australia. I have an assistant who will be overseeing the church. It will be our first furlough since we have arrived here in 2006.
We are excited to come back and give a report of all God has done.
