Thank you all for your prayers and encouraging words. We met with the landlord tonight, and the lowest he will go on the rent is $1200. Even if I had it, I believe it would be bad investment of God's money. God has been so good to let us have this place for the last 12 years. It is in a prime location for the city of Phnom Penh. So much so, that the new renter is knocking down the house and building what he wants in its place. The landlord is getting a good deal.

We believe God is in all of this. We are now asking you to pray for God to give us direction to find the place He wants us to be. Please pray that God would prepare hearts of people close to the new location that he has for us. Please pray that this new challenge will help bring our church family closer together. Frankly, this has been one of the worst years that we have ever had, so it must mean that God is doing something yet unseen by us here.

On a positive note: Many of you know that New Hope Baptist Church in Phnom Penh made a four year commitment to give money for a land fund. We are 31 months into the 50 month fund-raiser, and the church has already given over $5000 of their $6000 commitment. Our sending church, First Baptist Church of Bridgeport, gave New Hope $6000 last December, and the church recently used these combined funds to buy a parcel of land just outside the city. The land is in a developing area, and we believe will increase in value quickly. Lord willing, we will be able to sell this land in a few years and buy something closer to town. The paperwork for this property was just finalized 13 days ago. It is a long ways away from what New Hope needs to have their own building in Phnom Penh, but it is a giant first step for this little church. So God is blessing, the Devil is fighting, and no matter what, God will still get the victory. It is feels great to be on the winning side!
