Call to Worship
Arise, my soul, my joyful powers
And triumph in thy God
Awake, my voice, and loud proclaim
His glorious grace abroad.
He raised me from the depths of sin
The gates of gasping hell
And fixed my standing more secure
Than ‘twas before I fell.
The arms of everlasting love
Beneath my soul He placed
And on the Rock of Ages set
My slippery footsteps fast.
Arise, my soul! Away my voice
And tunes of pleasure sing
Loud hallelujahs shall address
My Saviour and my King.
(Tune: "O For A Thousand Tongues")
Psalm37:3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

BEFORE we can worship in peace of conscience and liberty of heart, we must know, on the authority of God's Word and by the power of God's Spirit, that the entire question of sin has been forever settled by the blood of the Divine Sin Offering. All of God's claims and all of our necessities as ruined, guilty sinners has been forever answered. This gives perfect peace, and in the enjoyment of this peace we worship God. Because we have a perfect sacrifice we have a perfect conscience. ~Pastor Scott Richardson
A man who seeks and finds God will discover three things: (1) God is perfectly unchangeable, unapproachably holy. (2) That he himself is not holy but sinful, absolutely so; corrupt, guilty, vile, abominable in God's sight. He has no righteousness before God and no standing on his own. (3) The only way God saves sinners is through the blood and righteousness of Christ. - Pastor Donnie Bell
GOD IS GOD INDEED!
C. H. Spurgeon
I believe that every particle of dust that dances in the sunbeam does not move an atom more or less than God wishes, that every particle of spray that dashes against the steamboat has its orbit as well as the sun in the heavens, that the chaff from the hand of the winnower is steered as surely as the stars in their courses, that the creeping of an insect over a rosebud is as much fixed as the march of the devastating pestilence , and the fall of leaves from the poplar are as fully ordained as the tumbling avalanche. He who believes in God must believe this truth. There is no standing point between this and atheism. There is no halfway between an Almighty God who works all things according to the good pleasure of His will, and no God at all.
"DWELL IN US"
Rom. 15:7
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another" (Col. 3:16). Paul exhorts us to a diligent study of God's word. This study of the word is not for information and doctrine alone, but that our Lord's word might become a part of us, such a part of us that it is said to DWELL IN US, as a member of the family lives in a home. The word of God is loved, respected, obeyed, and delighted in richly in an abundant manner. We are not to study just one part of the scriptures, but all of it, that we may benefit and grow in grace and the knowledge of Christ, and that we may teach others His word. It is not only the duty of ministers and elders to teach and encourage others, but it is the duty of all believers to be ready always to give to every man that asketh them a reason of the hope that is in us, with knowledge, meekness, and fear. "Lord, give us a love for your word, an understanding of your word, and the wisdom to be a good witness of your gospel." Pastor Henry Mahan
