Dear Praying Friends,

Last Saturday, a cold front came in and we had snow on some of the mountains surrounding Mexico City. On Saturday, after making visits, my family went to play in the snow. The people here in Mexico don't know how to make good snowmen. Our snowman was the object of a professional photographer and other families took their picture next to him.

Please pray for the salvation of the governor of the State of Mexico, Enrique Peña. One of our women in the church works for him seeing him almost every day. He is very accessible and simple, not a stuffed shirt and a good man. Many think he will successfully run for president in 2012. Belén is very outgoing and says to him, "Your a good man, you just need to accept Christ as your Savior." She shows him verses from Exodus 20 about idolatry as he is very Catholic. Just recently his wife, a manic depressant, died of an overdose. Please pray that this serves to prepare him for salvation.

This Sunday I preached to the men of the need for spiritual leaders in the church. The German young man, Toby, came up to me and said he wanted to come to our Tuesday evening prayer meetings. He said that in his old Baptist church in Germany he taught the youth. I told him he needs to be baptized and join the church before we think about that, but the point is that he wants to do more for Christ and I believe he will be baptized this Sunday. Pray for his wife, Flor, who is unsaved. They will be coming to our house this Friday to eat and play board games with us for family night.

Please pray for Hari, the Sikh Indian whom I will visit again tonight. Last Wednesday was the first time he had ever been in a Christian church, which is a great start. Pray, also, for the salvation of a woman whom we plan to visit tonight. Esperanza has come for three Sundays with her neighbor who attends our church.

Once again, thank you for praying.
