Of course, there is no such thing as coincidence. This Sunday I was reminded how God is always working even behind the scenes. For several weeks since we knocked doors in a certain part of town, I have been praying for the salvation of a man I met named Javier who runs a laundry service. He likes to speak in English, loves Americans, and loves Chicago, having visited and lived there several times. He talks about all the streets and avenues there and the different parts of the city. I have gone by there a few times since to talk to and witness to him.

This last week a man named Raul called me once and my wife once talking about his emotional and spiritual problems. He is a Christian that had gone away from God. This Sunday afternoon, an hour before church, he came to talk to me and told me of the bad testimony he had been towards his unsaved father and mother and how his actions had hardened his parents to the gospel.

He was torn up that because of his testimony his parents would go to hell. He plead with me to get to know his father and use our common love of Chicago and America as a carrot stick to get his father into church and see him saved. It turns out that his father is that same Javier. God is working!

Raul stayed for the service and I told him afterwards that he needs to help me win his parents to the Lord by asking their forgiveness and changing his behavior. We made a pact that he would do what I suggested and that I would do my part to see his father saved.

Please pray that Raul will return to God and get right with his parents and that God will use my witness and his testimony to see Javier saved.
