CALL TO WORSHIP
Prepare me, gracious God
To stand before Thy face
Thy Spirit must the work perform
For it is all of grace.
In Christ’s obedience clothe
And wash me in His blood
So shall I lift my head with joy
Among the sons of God.
Do Thou my sin subdue
Thy Sovereign love make known
The Spirit of my mind renew
And save me in Thy Son.
Let me attest Thy power
Let me Thy goodness prove
Till my full soul can hold no more
Of everlasting love!

JUSTIFICATION
Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: and by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses (Acts 13:38-39).
The gospel proclaims the good news of the forgiveness of sin in the Lord Jesus Christ. Sinners are justified from all sin in the Lord Jesus Christ. Remember justified does not mean just as if I had never sinned. Being justified does not mean being made LIKE you are without sin. Justification does not mean that God counts you as justified even though you are still guilty. Justified means being made without any sin at all. God declares a sinner to be justified – without any sin – because the sacrifice of Christ put away all of their sin. In Christ a sinner is cleansed from original sin in Adam and from every sin we have committed. In Christ we are cleansed from all of the iniquity of sin, the perversity of sin, the condemnation of sin, and the ruling power of sin. Only the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God could remove sin so completely that all of His people are justified, without any sin that can ever condemn them.

THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD
“Therein is the righteousness of God revealed.” This is the Gospel of which Paul was not ashamed! The Gospel that reveals the righteousness of God. The Gospel reveals every attribute of God but the attribute the Holy Spirit inspires Paul to say that the Gospel revealed was His righteousness. The Gospel reveals the righteous character of God. Sin must be punished and righteousness must be rewarded! The cross is the demonstration of that. The Gospel reveals God’s righteousness in the condemnation of men. Those who believe the Gospel clearly see God’s righteousness in condemning them. The Gospel reveals the righteousness of God in salvation. Because of Christ’s work of putting away sin on the cross, the believer has no sin! The righteousness of God demands his salvation because in Christ, he has lived a perfectly righteous life. This is what Paul spoke of when he said, “Grace reigns through righteousness.” Righteous grace from a righteous God that makes men righteous!
Pastor Todd Nibert
“…so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.” Esther 4:16
The Lord has graciously revealed to His people that the entire book of Esther is based entirely upon one act, the king raising the sceptre unto Esther in mercy. If he had not, then there would be no book of Esther, no hope for her people, for there was no possibility of another saving or interceding for them. This is the same, but infinitely more accurate, in describing the salvation of the souls of God’s elect. For in the volume of the book of life, the entirety of salvation is completely and entirely dependent upon one act, the King raising the sceptre to His Son. If the King had not, then there would be no Book of Life, no hope for God’s people, for it is not possible for another to save us or intercede for us. If the Lord has made you to truly know this truth, by grace through faith bestowed, then hear the glorious news of the gospel: Numbers 24:17 ”…there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel”. The Lord Jesus Christ is the only reason the Sceptre of God is raised to whom the Lord loves.
