CALL TO WORSHIP
Glory to the heavenly Father
Fountain of eternal love
Who, His wandering sheep to gather
Sent the Savior from above.
To the Son all praise be given
Who with love unknown before
Left the bright abode of heaven
And our sins and sorrows bore.
Equal strains of warm devotion
Let the Spirit’s praise employ
Author of each holy motion
Source of wisdom, peace, and joy.
Thus while our glad hearts ascending
Glorify Jehovah’s name
Heavenly songs with ours are blending
There the theme is still the same!
(Tune: “Jesus Calls Us” p. 374)

FAITH AND KNOWLEDGE
Knowing true facts about the scriptures and doctrine is not salvation. A sinner cannot be educated into salvation. There are many people who know true facts but do not trust Christ.
However, saving faith and knowledge always work together. Saving faith knows that the only righteousness there is, is the righteousness of Christ, therefore I trust Christ to be my righteousness without any of my works added to Him. Saving faith knows that sinners are justified in the blood of Christ, therefore I trust Christ alone to justify me. Saving faith knows that the only way a sinner can be cleansed of sin is by the blood of Christ, therefore I trust Christ to cleanse me from my sin without any of my morality. Saving faith knows that the only way a sinner can be accepted in God’s presence is in the Beloved, therefore I dare only come into God’s presence pleading the obedience and blood of Christ alone.
Pastor
True faith will persevere. Faith does not persevere because we are faithful, but because God is faithful. Faith does not persevere because we are strong, but because our God is strong. Faith does not persevere because of our hold on the Lord, but because of the Lord’s hold on us.
Don Fortner
A New Nature
The person who says, “I am saved by grace alone and it does not matter how I talk, walk, or conduct my life,” is a fool and neither understands nor loves the grace of God. Our union with the Lord Jesus not only justifies and sanctifies us before the law of God and the court of heaven, but that same regenerating union implants within and imparts unto us A NEW NATURE which delights in the principles and actions of holiness.
One cannot separate the blessings of Christ from the indwelling presence of Christ. “He that LOVETH not KNOWETH not!” Learning the doctrine will not produce a new creature, but “learning Christ” will!
Henry Mahan
My spiritual life began in looking to Christ only. The way I persevere in the faith is by continuing to look to Christ only. My desire is that the last breath I take here on earth will be looking to Christ only. The employment of eternity, albeit without this sinful nature, will be looking to Christ only! “We shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is” (I John 3:2), and will still look to Him only.
Pastor Todd Nibert
One Way Alone
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus – I Timothy 2:5
I must approach unto God by Christ Jesus because I am unholy. God must approach unto me by Christ Jesus because HE IS HOLY. In Christ Jesus, I, a poor sinner, and God, a Holy and Heavenly Father, have an honest and sincere communion one with another. His holiness is not violated and my sin is not imputed but all is washed away. Oh, sweet fellowship! Oh, holy union! Oh, easy walk! Oh, joyous friendship! Oh, happy me! (I John 1:7).
Pastor Bruce Crabtree
My need brought me to Christ, and now I find Him to be all I need.
Pastor John Chapman
