CALL TO WORSHIP
I bless the Christ of God, I rest on love divine
And with unfaltering lip and heart, I call the Savior mine
His cross dispels each doubt, I bury in His tomb
Each thought of unbelief and fear, each lingering shade of gloom
I praise the God of peace, I trust His truth and might
He calls me His, I call Him mine, My God, my Joy, my Light
In Him is only good, in me is only ill
My ill but draws His goodness forth, and me He loveth still
‘Tis He Who saveth me, and freely pardon gives
I love because He loveth me, I live because He lives
My life with Him is hid, my death has passed away
My clouds have melted into light, my midnight into day.

CONFESSION IS MADE UNTO SALVATION
“For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:10)
When the Lord saves a sinner, that person will want to confess Christ sooner or later. A believer has a desire to confess Christ publicly in believer’s baptism. A believer has a desire to identify with God and with His people in public worship. But confession Christ goes much further than a one time thing. Publicly confessing Christ in the heart is done daily by living a life of faith, depending on Christ not my works.
Pastor
To say God’s people were not eternally justified, before time, is to imply Christ could have failed and therefore was not God.
Pastor Caleb Hickman
NO DEALINGS
“Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, how is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? For the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.” Jn 4:9.
The woman of Samaria told the Lord Jesus that the religious Jews, out of their self-righteous pride would have no dealings with the Samaritans, people who the Jews considered to be too sinful for salvation. But thank God, the Lord Jesus Christ came to save and to have dealings with sinners. He is the friend of sinners (Matt. 11:19). Christ did not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance (Matt. 9:12:13). The Lord Jesus Christ came to seek and to save the lost (Luke 19:10). Now the question for us to consider, are we sinners? Yes! Do we need the salvation from the hand of the Lord? Yes! This is a faithful saying, Christ came to save sinners (1 Tim. 1:15)
Pastor Tom Harding
THE DIFFERENCE IS GOD
“For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?” (1 Cor 4:7). If man makes the difference in his salvation by his choice, decision or works, then the Sinner has something to boast in. If God makes the difference in man’s salvation, then the Sinner’s boast shall be in God alone. The difference is God. He alone makes one Sinner to differ from another. God gives life to whom he will. “Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people” (Psalm 3:8).
Pastor Eric Lutter
The pulpit's real issue is this: Christ, and Him crucified. Men, whose eyes are fixed on Christ, do not argue. They do not love controversy whose hearts are touched with Him. They do not look for issues and sticky theological problems who are busy knowing and showing Christ. Those whose interest is singularly Christ have little difficulty settling all matters and quickly in His Word. The problem they see is sinners, lost and hell-bound; and the only answer they see is Christ.
