CALL TO WORSHIP
Revive us now, O Lord
Create soul-thirst for Thee
And hung’ring for the Word of life
O may our spirits be!
Revive us now, O Lord
Exalt Thy precious name
And by the Holy Ghost our love
For Thee and Thine inflame.
Revive us now, O Lord
Give pow’r unto Thy Word
And may its pure and sacred Truth
In living faith be heard.
Revive us now, O Lord
And give refreshing showers
The glory shall be all Thine own
The blessing, Lord be ours.

SAVING FAITH PRODUCES GOOD WORKS
Saving faith in the heart always produces good works because God’s grace makes people gracious and generous. Saul of Tarsus became Paul the apostle who tirelessly went everywhere he could preaching Christ and Him crucified. Zacchaeus became honest and generous, giving half of his goods to the poor and restoring anyone he cheated four-fold. Philemon was known for comforting and refreshing the saints. Onesimus became a profitable servant. Dorcas was full of good works and almsdeeds, making coats and garments for the widows. The churches of Macedonia were so generous that they gave beyond their power to give while they were in a time of deep poverty. If God has given me the gift of saving faith, I will desire to follow the example of these brothers and sisters.
Pastor
“Christ is all!” Without him we are nothing and have nothing, but sin and death (1 Corinthians 1:30-31). All that God has for guilty sinners, all that he does for guilty sinners, all that he requires of guilty sinners is in Jesus Christ, our incarnate, crucified, risen, exalted Substitute.
Don Fortner
“He is able to save to the uttermost, them that come unto God by Him” (Heb.7:25)
How much saving do we need? Speaking for myself, I need saving to the uttermost! I need a salvation that is complete and forever, which is what uttermost means. We need saving from all our sin and sins; from our past sins, our sins of today and our sins of tomorrow. We need saving from the penalty of sin, the power of sin and we desire to be saved from the presence of sin.
Who can save us in this way? One person, One Savior, here He is called Our Great High Priest, and thank God He says “He is able to save to the uttermost, them that come unto God by Him”. He alone is able to save with a perfect, complete, eternal salvation. How can we know? Because as Our High Priest He offered Himself “a sacrifice for sins, once for all”, and “Now He ever liveth to make intercession for us.” He even “now appears in the presence of God for us”. Jesus Christ is made to me ALL I NEED! All the saving I need, He provides completely and forever.
Pastor Don Bell
“It is Finished” John 19:30
Every time I consider this passage, my mind focuses first on the “It.” All that God required concerning the redemption of God’s sheep…all that the law demanded for justice and judgment against His people…every type and shadow of Christ in the Old Testament is included in “It.” And though this frail creature fails to grasp the fullness of “it,” all was “finished.” Everything God eternally purposed, decreed and ordained was finished by Christ’s one sacrifice for sin. And the marvel of this blessed truth is summed up with the word, “is.” That which He has done has been done forever! What a declaration of peace for a needy sinner from the mouth of the glorious Lamb of God.
Pastor Marvin Stalnaker
Assurance based upon personal holiness, personal graces, and personal works is nothing but self-righteous presumption. Lack of assurance based upon the lack of those things is also self-righteousness. True assurance is simple faith, trusting Christ alone for every particle of salvation and eternal acceptance with God.
