CALL TO WORSHIP
Christ as My Mediator Stands — Don Fortner
Christ as my Mediator stands,
Between my soul and God;
Upon us both He lays His hands,
Presenting precious blood.
He took salvation’s work in hand
Before He made the sun,
My Surety, both God and man, —
The work is His alone!
He is the Daysman God approves,
By whom He’s satisfied,
The Kinsman ransomed sinners love, —
Christ Jesus crucified!
God trusts His glory in His hands,
And there I trust my soul;
The Surety for both, He stands, —
For God and for my soul!

Thank you all for all of the hard work that went into our conference last weekend. When an event like that goes off without a hitch, it is due to a lot of work. All of your work and giving to cover expenses enabled us all to enjoy a special time of worship around the preaching of Christ our Savior.
I Will Not Fear What Man Shall Do Unto Me
“So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” (Hebrews 13:6)
Thankfully in our day, we do not have serious fears of men jailing, torturing and killing us for the gospel’s sake like the martyrs of old. The man causes me so much grief and pain is my old man. Even though my old man causes me so many problems, I do not have to fear him because of who my Savior is. My old man constantly tries to bring me back into captivity to the law by making me trust in my works of the law and religion, but I do not fear that he will be successful because the Lord won’t let me quit believing on Christ alone. My old man would make me lose my salvation in a heartbeat, but I don’t fear that he will be successful because if Christ has saved me I can never be lost. My old man is a powerful enemy. He hasn’t become weaker at all. But I don’t fear his power because my Savior has all power and He has promised to keep me by the power of His love and grace. That is all I need to comfort my heart and remove all of my fears.

“the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.” - Luke 15:2
Our Lord came to lay down His life for filthy, vile, wretched sinners. And, He does more than let us stay in the same room. He “receiveth” us! He is made one with us!!! How much so? He “eateth with them”. He would pick up your half-eaten sandwich and take a bite after you, as a father would his toddler... If you are spiritually dirty, unclean, smell bad, and covered in disease, His receiving you and His eating with you is completely humbling and totally glorious at the same time!
Pastor Kevin Thacker
SIN WHICH IS NOT SEEN
How can God who sees all things, no longer see sin in believers? The Lord Jesus Christ is the answer. The Messiah (Hebrew word for Christ), of whom Daniel wrote, was, “To finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness” (Daniel 9:24). To make an end of sins! The Lord Jesus Christ has so effectually redeemed His people, so perfectly reconciled His people, so absolutely propitiated God, so thoroughly removed the sins of His people – that God declares – the God who cannot change – “Their sins and iniquities will I remember no more’ (Hebrews 10:17). “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us” (Psalm 103:12). “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1). In Christ, He sees us in Christ, in the Beloved, “In whom He is well pleased.”
Pastor David Pledger
Conviction of Sin
Men do not need the Holy Spirit to feel guilt and shame when they transgress God’s moral law. For that, they have a conscience. Rom. 2:14-15. What we need the Holy Spirit to do, is convict us of the sin in our righteousnesses. The law of sin, written on the new heart, tells us that when we would do good, evil is ever present with us. Only then will we flee to our Sinless Substitute for all our acceptance before God. Thank God that in Christ Jesus we are free from the law of sin and death. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus. Rom. 7: 21-8:1.
