We are entering into our Apostle creed. The content of scripture (Creator, Redeemer, Sanctifier) in a "nut shell." This first article does not focus on who God is, but focus' on God who is our Father for Jesus' sake and His children in the blood of the Lamb!
This is incomprehensible! We ARE the sons of the Most High God. This is one doctrine and confession of two that discusses creation BUT it is the backdrop of how we discuss our son ship. Many compromise creation even in an evangelical world to the demise of their own comfort. Hebrews 11even speaks of creation as things were made out of things not as they appear. If we do not by faith believe in creation what can we believe about the Creators care over us??? We believe it by faith! Completely! We then move on to see that all things not only come from Him, but are DIRECTED by Him! We then can find comfort that ALL THINGS are of God's design and we are in His hands! From that point of view the catechism approaches and tells us that this God is OUR Father for Jesus' sake (comfort) and it gives us a trust in all things and in all circumstances. God adopts us as children as heirs and we become beneficiaries of God in Christ!
His witness bears with ours so that we KNOW we are the children of God! In Christ we are the apple of His eye....we are in His heart...and we can see the depth of that love when we look at the cross!!! There is no child of God that will be wanting and they will all be taken to glory! We know this is the valley of shadows and tears and we are in check and focused on glory always. We deal with death, decay, and sadness all around us and that is why we walk not by sight, but by faith (as father Abraham did) and when God sends afflictions God knows and will provide BETTER than our earthly fathers in everything we need! We "have it made" having a Heavenly Father that does not wax short...ever!
We always abide in the love of the Lord and we are always comforted in our life and He never waxes short. God...is OUR FATHER! We experience this very thing in our journey do we not?!
