Missionary Cody Groover is in need of a new truck. Please give as the Lord enables you. We will send the gift at the end of September. Let us go to Calvary to learn how we may be forgiven; and then let us linger there to learn how we may forgive. There shall we see what sin is, as it murders the Lord of love; and see also how Almighty mercy prevailed against it.

THE SIMPLICITY OF CHRIST
Many people who claim to preach the simplicity of Christ preach such a complicated message that you have to have an advanced degree in order to understand what they are saying. My friend, that message cannot be the simplicity of Christ.
Man’s way of saving and justifying a sinner is very complicated. God’s way of saving a sinner is so very simple. The simplicity of Christ is simply this: Christ is all. The gospel really is that simple: Christ is all. Christ is all of my righteousness. Christ is all of my justification. Christ is all of my sanctification. Christ is all of my salvation. Christ is all of my acceptance with the Father. Christ is all of my hope of glory. Christ is all that I desire. And when finally in glory, I won’t be looking for streets of gold or gates of pearl. I will be looking for Christ my Savior who will be the glory of heaven to me. To me, heaven is wherever Christ my all is.
THE SPIRIT AND THE FLESH
When the Lord found the disciples sleeping instead of praying, He said, “The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak” (Matthew 26:41). Here the Lord acknowledges the two separate natures in the believer: flesh and spirit. The spirit is willing. Willing to never sin again. Paul said, “To will is present with me.” The flesh is weak. “How to perform that which is good I find not.” Spiritually powerless and impotent! The spirit is that which lives on eternally. The flesh will die and be replaced on Resurrection Day with sinless flesh. Hasten Lord Thy return!

2 Corinthians 5:21
Here is one of the most astounding truths in this world “God made Him sin”! It doesn’t say it was something that looked like sin. It simply says God made Him to be sin. When we can find the answer to what sin is, how God views sin, then maybe we will have an inkling as to what Christ was made by His own Father. It also says “he knew no sin”, that makes it even more overwhelming….who was He made sin for… US. Bless His holy name that he would willingly become what we are…sin. Here is the kicker though he was made sin we are made the righteousness of God …where …how…IN HIM!
O the wisdom and power of God he reveals in Christ our Lord by saving sinners completely, perfectly, and absolutely in a way that magnifies the righteousness of God.

I get worried about people to whom the Gospel gets old. I wonder if eating or breathing gets old to them? For a man who knows Christ, nothing about Him gets old…it’s something new every day.
